Welcome to my Website!

I am so blessed!  Praise the Lord, I now have 100% of my support!  I am now on the field serving in Honduras!  God continues to bless me beyond what I could ever ask or think!

Today we began our Saturday Bible club in the village of Jocote!   I have been waiting to return there since I left last August.  It is such a blessing to be able to share the Word of God with the children here.  I was very nervous as I began teaching, but God was with me and helped me word by word.  It is incredible to see how God is meeting all of our needs!

Last Sunday I taught Sunday School for the first time in Spanish.  I was extremely nervous, but with God's help I made it through.  I began at the beginning with the first day of Creation.  There were only two children in the class of sixty students who raised their hands and said that they had heard the story before.  I was completely blown away at the thought that less than 4 percent of the class knew about the story of Creation.  Please pray that God would give me the necessary vocabulary and confidence that I need in order to teach and reach these children.  Many of you know that God has burdened my heart for the children in the village of Jocote.  This Saturday we will be beginning our first Saturday Bible Club there.  Please pray for us as we share the Word of God with the children of this village.

Happy Easter!  We had a wonderful Easter here!  It was the first time I haven't been home for Easter, but God blessed us more than I could ever imagine!  During Sunday School we had ten of our children accept Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior! To God be the glory!  We are so thankful for all that God is doing here!

We are now settled into the house.  God has blessed us so much!  We have been on vacation from school this week so we have really been able to enjoy the house.  We have had several visitors.  However, some of them have not been people.  We have been helping translate and review letters from children and pastors to sponsors.  It is such a blessing to be able to help.  I am so thankful that God is allowing me to be part of a wonderful mission work.  Good Samaritan Baptist Missions has been and continues to be an amazing blessing in my life!  Thank you so much for praying for us!  Last weekend we were able to begin working with the children at a small church in Comali.  It is about ten minutes from San Marcos.  It was such a blessing!  The children are absolutely precious!  Many of them are my students at the grammar school in San Marcos.  Hopefully we will be able to begin in Jocote on Saturdays.  I can't wait to begin this work.  This village is the village that God has specifically burdened my heart for.  Last summer when I visited there God burdened my heart to reach these children.  Please help us pray for these ministries.  It is amazing to see how God continually supplies our needs.  Thank you all so much for all that you do for us!

God continues to answer our prayers.  We have been praying for a house to rent, and God has supplied it.  It is a three bedroom house with a bathroom in each bedroom.  This is exactly what we have been praying for.  Since the end of January when Kimberly arrived we have been searching for the just the right house, and now God has provided it for us!  God is so good!

God has blessed us so much this week!  We were very honored to have a group visiting with us from Glen Haven Baptist Church.  They truly were a blessing to us and everyone else here in Honduras.  We had a revival this week at Mount Calvary Baptist Church here in San Marcos.  Bro. Mike Creasman preached wonderful sermons all week.  They each touched my heart deeply.  This week we had a total of five students from the high school get saved!  To God be the glory!  He truly is doing GREAT things here!

I have just finished my first week of school here in Honduras.  I can't describe the joy and peace I felt as I walked into the Good Samaritan Grammar School.  It was such a blessing to see my students again.  I was swarmed by many children hugging me and saying, "Hola, Profe."  "Profe" is short for profesora which means teacher.  I think that they were happy to see me, too.  Please continue to pray for me as I share Jesus with the children of Honduras.  We are hoping to start a ministry on Saturdays in El Jocote, and on Sunday mornings in Comali.

I have been here now for only a couple of days, but God is already blessing me!  It is such a blessing to finally be here.  I am so excited about getting started with the work here.  I am also thankful for Kimberly Clayton and Amber Richmond.  They are the other two single lady missionaries that God has placed here with me.  I feel so blessed to have both of these ladies here working with me to reach the young people of this country!  We all have different talents that compliment the talents of each other.  It is so incredible to see how God has placed us all here together with the same burden and desire to teach and reach these young people!   We left our families in the States, but God has blessed us with another family here.  None of us have ever had sisters, but now God has blessed us each with two.  God is always faithful to meet all of our needs!

I am so thankful for all that God has done and continues to do to meet my needs.  Some of my dear friends, Bro. Jeff & Mrs. Donna Hullender organized a benefit dinner and singing for me.  It was a great blessing!  My home church and several singing groups participated in the benefit.  I am so grateful for all of those who gave in the love offering or had a part in the benefit.  These are a few of the singers who so generously gave of their time and talents.

Today, I was blessed to be able to visit with the members of New Prospect Baptist Church in Gaylesville, AL.  We had a wonderful service.  The Holy Spirit began moving as soon as the service began.  It was such a blessing to hear my youth pastor, Bro. Joe Nelms, preach.  God really used him to speak to our hearts.

Tonight I was honored to be a part of the services at South Dalton Baptist Church.  It was such a blessing to be with the wonderful people there.  I was also blessed with a love offering from the children there.  It was so special because many of the children who contributed attend Antioch Elementary School where I taught for two amazing years!

This past weekend God blessed me with the opportunity to visit and share my burden with two churches.  I had the privilege of meeting and worshipping with the wonderful people at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Lake City, FL and at Grace Baptist Church in Tifton, GA.  It was such a blessing to share in both of these services.

THANKS

I would like to thank Bro. Mike Norman, the members of Tabernacle Baptist Church, and students from the Tabernacle Baptist Academy for the boxes of goodies that they sent for my students in Honduras.  It will be a great blessing for them to receive these items.
